New access roads on the pipeline are the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 8.2, a 7.85-km, the four-lane expressway that will link C-5 Road and Commonwealth Avenue to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX). Meanwhile, the recently opened project which is the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 now serves as a connector between South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and NLEX from Buendia, Makati City to Balintawak, Quezon City.  

For the transport system, the MRT-7 is expected to be completed in a few months’ time and there will be stations in Mindanao Avenue, Novaliches, and Quirino Highway. The Metro Manila Subway, on the other hand, will have most of its stations in Quezon City starting from Mindanao Avenue-Quirino to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City.

Booming businesses

Aside from transport and connectivity, Quezon City is also home to top hospitals, entertainment hubs, and commercial establishments. This makes the city location incredibly attractive for both property hunters and investors. 

In fact, the city was named the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capital of the Philippines by the city council because of its push to promote the city as a hub for contact centers and business process outsourcing sectors. Home investors can actually capitalize on the presence of these establishments as good sources for rental income.

Recently in its Hotspots Unwrapped: 2020’s Most Popular Locations report, Lamudi Philippines named Quezon City as the most in-demand real estate location in 2020, followed by Makati, Pasig, and Taguig.

The report further said that while everyday activities like work have become less dependent on location because of the rise of virtual arrangements, property seekers still put a premium on living within or near cities that offer various employment opportunities.
