Are We Going Back to Day 1 of Lockdown?

Filipino lifestyles have been completely changed, and the entire country is affected when the coronavirus appeared last year. The country is still experiencing this nightmare due to this invisible threat even up to this day. It’s almost two years now when the Philippines started to have a lockdown since the Covid-19 outbreak, and it’s very alarming since many Covid-19 variants arise time-to-time. The Philippine National Government announced that they will return the National Capital Region (NCR) to the most restrictive community quarantine. Due to this very alarming variant, the other areas undergo MECQ (Modified Enhance Community Quarantine), and limited regions are on GCQ (General Community Quarantine) with heightened restrictions.

The country returns to lockdown mode to prepare for a possible surge of Covid-19 cases to prevent the number of casualties of this Delta variant. This Delta variant is a little different than the original Covid-19, according to the scientists. Delta variant is a type of variant that is more transmissible, so that’s the basis why the government decided to return to ECQ (Enhance Community Quarantine). Based on the study, if you fully vaccinated individuals, they are not experiencing severe disease and are not hospitalized. And for those individuals that are not fully vaccinated at all, that is a serious concern. Many netizens disagree with the plan by the government to have another lockdown; several of them agreed to stop the number of cases. But, since this new variant already entered the country, the scientist says that there is a recent local transmission of the new variant virus, which is very alarming.
